Jackie Broxon Bailey is an artist based in Sonoma, California. She grew up in San Francisco and the peninsula where she cultivated a love of travel, literature, and art throughout her adolescence and eventually in college at University of California, Santa Barbara. A multi-faceted creator, she has experimented with various mediums--including writing, painting and mixed media--and began her glass work in 2019.
As an artist, she is committed to innovative uses of color and often draws inspiration from her love for the ocean, animals, and nature. Although her glass pieces are designed for everyday use, she views them as artistic expressions first and favors a process in which designs from nature or other artistic mediums inspire the shapes and combinations for her glass. She lives with her two border collies in Bennett Valley, where she keeps her studio.
